We feel very lucky to witness London experimental jazz artist otta coming out of the woodwork. She's just dropped her 2nd single since debut EP after it all blew over. The new single 'sick inside' opens with layered vocals, and plucked jazz chords that slide up and down. The chorus melody is just so good, the kind you could cry to. It takes you out of your body, to a place where angels live, as she sings the line "I feel sick inside". Drums thump with intention, and otta's soft vocal layer contrasts with the more forceful one, raining mixed emotions. Towards the end of the track, production takes an experimental turn, becoming more chaotic, with strange electronics and fast-paced drums. 'sick inside' uses otta's distinct style to create a very emotional journey. -Ellie Rose-Davies
